25カ国で世界の水問題を研究しているホープ・カレッジの学生グループが、安全でない飲料水に対する世界的な解決策になりうると思われるものを追跡調査している。
ホープ・カレッジは、フロリダを拠点とするソーヤー・プロダクツおよびカリフォルニアを拠点とする非営利団体ギブ・クリーン・ウォーターと提携し、フィジーの住民にきれいな水を提供する支援を行っている。過去2年間に3つのハリケーンが島を襲い、約50万人（島の人口のほぼ50％）が安全な水にアクセスできないままになっている。
