Lone Star Ticks Found In Northern Wisconsin

There’s a new critter in the outdoors these days and it’s a lot scarier than the wolves and bears that call Wisconsin home. This one can have life-changing impacts, as I learned on a recent fishing trip on Lake Superior.

The first sign of the impacts from this new threat was when the retired forester and avid outdoorsman running the boat declined a piece of venison jerky.
