新品のSawyer Squeezeを211マイル（実走250マイル）のジョン・ミューア・トレイル17日間のスルーハイクでテストしました。全行程でフィルターは逆洗しなかった。

Sawyer Squeezeを逆洗せずに17日間使用したところ、流量は1.60リットル/分から1.45リットル/分に低下しました。Sawyerの逆洗用カプラーを使ってわずか2リットルのきれいな水で逆洗したところ、Sawyer Squeezeの流量はほぼ完全に新品の状態（1.59リットル/分）に戻りました。
