ソーヤーは、2009年のCNNヒーロー、ドク・ヘンドリーが設立した団体「ワイン・トゥ・ウォーター」と提携できることを誇りに思う。2003年、ドクはノースカロライナ州ローリー周辺のナイトクラブでバーテンダーをしながら音楽を演奏し、この団体のコンセプトを思いついた。最初の募金活動は2004年1月に行われ、その年の8月までにドクはスーダンのダルフールに住み、政府による大量虐殺の犠牲者のために給水システムを設置した。そして2014年、Wine to Waterは17カ国で活動を開始した。4大陸8カ国で進行中のプロジェクトがあり、30人の国際援助活動家を支援している。
